As you probably saw on the front page, I’m Jazmyn Whitman.

I’m a native “Valley Girl,” born and raised in sunny Southern California. I was brought up by two artists, Kiki Wow and Rejyna, who in their own unique ways, taught me the joy and empowerment of seeing and making art and beauty everywhere.

After getting my Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema from the University of Iowa (go Hawkeyes!), I embarked upon a career in the film industry upon my return home to Burbank. Spending several years in the corporate media system, I worked with artists and creators across the creative spectrum; from actors and costumers, to editors and effects artists. In that industry, I discovered my talents not only as an artist, but as a supportive collaborator and coach for those under, around, and often, above me.

Aside from my background in film, I’ve had the distinct joy of creating and performing with the Melanie Kareem Middle Eastern Dance School since 2012. That platform not only nurtured my extroverted performer side; but it also allowed me to cultivate skills in choreography, costume design, and the always-surprising ability to balance a sword on my head.

In 2019, I began using my time after work to host monthly “Craft Night” get-togethers, where the women in my circle of friends would come to my home to work on their various creative projects--and to benefit from much-needed feminine fellowship. During the COVID-19 crisis of 2020, I pivoted to hosting those get-togethers virtually, via videoconferencing; and it was during that time that I had the idea to grow this process into a one-on-one format for creative coaching and exploration. Enter: M.U.S.E.

The fact of the matter is, I’m at my absolute best in person, not as words on a screen.

Let’s connect and get to know each other.
